Reach for the sta-I MEAN APPLE

In honour of the birth of shiny male Ralts, here is my contest entry! I decided to include the little newborn in this picture, even though it is probably supposed to become the true Hiro, but it just seemed fitting. I also included the Cubone used in some of the reerence pictures because they'd never have made it to that apple with just the three of them, and then what was the point

Anyway, I've been trying out some brushes this vacation and somehow this happened! I swear I didn't start this out as a watercolour piece, but I really like the end product nonetheless. 
Also the word "reach" no longer holds any meaning to me; it's just a weird bunch of letters that happen to follow each other... I've been staring at it for too long now I guess
